There are three members of PPT - Pikahsso, Picnic and Tahiti. Their initials form their band name. This Dallas trio got their fame when they won the contest for the Maverick's playoff theme song, "Rowdy, Loud and Proud". Their artist page on Idol Records' website (the label that released most of their music) describes them as able to "pull off what most hip-hop veterans can't: They talk about getting older without getting boring. Their music falls somewhere between Stankonia-era Outkast and post-Purple Rain Prince, evenly pleasing the backpacker types and the cats who just want a little heavy funk". The group split up in 2008.
