The story of OVERUNIT-MACHINE begins in winter 2000.The band is born from a cross-core project of Joe, the singer of the band. After a few months, the band finally reaches a permanent line-up:Klown-singer,Luca-guitar,Ivol-drums,Alan-guitar,Daniele-bass.The band starts immediately to work hard on the development of its own sound and style; the result is an original crossover style, full of different influences, in which the wall-of-sound created by heavy 7 strings alternates with obscure atmospheres and clear melodies. The band decides to play only original songs, no covers. Each of the musicians comes from different musical education, and the fusion of these experiences creates an identifiable sound, proper of OVERUNIT-MACHINE. +++ After a demo-tape recorded in low-fi, the OVERUNIT-MACHINE crew starts his live activity with a very cool concert at the “ROCK IN THE CAGE ” festival,, near Venice ;the club is overcrowded by several hundreds of people who dig the show a lot. It ’s the beginning of an intense live activity that improves the song writing and the harmony inside the band. In the next months the OVERUNIT crew plays in many clubs and festivals in the region, together with renowned bands like the famous hardcore band TO DIE FOR, the metalcore band SLOWMOTION-APOCALYPSE, and the side-project of Matteo Dainese, drummer of ULAN BATOR ,obtaining great results in many contests, as S.Giusto Rock Festival-Udine (special prize for originality),Summer Alternative Music Contest-Carnia(2 nd prize) BreakTheSilence contest-Latisana (1 st prize for originality,3 rd prize in the contest), DEPOSITO GIORDANI ROCK CONTEST-Pordenone(reaching the final)and so on; people like the OVERUNIT-MACHINE style. +++ In the meantime the band discusses about the making of a record that will include the best songs of the crew, but the project is delayed because of many problems between the band and the bass player. At the end of 2003 the bass player leaves the band. The band stops playing around for many months, having serious problems finding the right person to become the new bass player; at last,in the spring of 2004,Domenico becomes part of the MACHINE. Quickly the new man gets into the sound,and in summer 2004 the MACHINE starts a new adventure: the making of its first record. The recording studio is called ANGEL ’s WINGS, the owner and sound prophet is NICO ODORICO.The creature is called NURSERY RHYMES,11 songs for 45 minutes of a powerful and various sound,magisterially supported by a great sound technician like Nico ,using his avant-garde technology.The result is an aggressive crossover, in which the heavy and powerful impact ,that reminds of Sepultura-Machine Head sound,(“I AM ”-“DEADLY RHYMES ”)melts with obscure interludes (reminiscence of TOOL) or schizophrenic KORN-like atmospheres (“EVIL ’S NAIL ”),deliriums reminding of HED-pe alternate to melodic openings, and the use of acoustic and electronic instruments makes the groove involving and never boring (“BLINDED ”-“BROKEN ”). +++ The album, that is currently self-produced and self-delivered, reaches 500 sold copies after only 1 month, and the “MACHINE ” receives a lot of regard from everybody (the local music scene ,the bands ,the fans),not only for the music but also for the professional quality of the recording (due to the great ability of the sound technician NICO ODORICO) and for the finely accurate graphic work made for the booklet by ANTONIO DORE from the local graphic studio named “STUDIO-IDEE -MATERIA ”. The band’s hard work gets rewarded by good re-wievs over webzines and several interviews for local newspapers and radios; the growing interest around the band makes a further big step forward during the summer of 2005, when LORENZO BIANCHINI, an italian film director (whose former works already won important prizes), chooses NURSERY RHYMES as soundtrack for his next movie, “FILM SPORCO”, which is going to participate in many independent-movie festivals around Italy (Turin,Rome,Pesaro). +++ In the meanwhile OVERUNIT-MACHINE continues the hard work: the live activity starts again all over the Region, the song writing process continues to improve, and the band gains more and more fans, also thanks to the growing merchandising section (thanks to the big support of ANTONIO). The live shows become more and more interesting even due to the collaboration of NICOLAS VAVASSORI, a local artist that fills the stage with his suggestive creations,giving to the show a weird shape. The 4th of February 2006 the “MACHINE” plays live at the VELVET ROCK CLUB, the club is overcrowded with more than 1000 people,the show ends with big success. The 15th of April the MACHINE plays at DEPOSITO GIORDANI (pordenone) as headliners with SICKHEAD and WOPTIME(TESTA DE OSS METAL NIGHT) overcrowded place,big show; 24th of March at the ZION ROCK CLUB supporting N.U.M.B., 9th of May again at VELVET ROCK CLUB supporting BETRAYED and CRO-MAGS (unique Italian date), 22nd of April at LA GABBIA with SWAY and AS NO ONE, 13th of May in BIBIONE,big motorcycle party, playing in front of over 4000 people (with MELANIE KLEIN as supporters), big show!!! 06-06-’06 at the VELVET ROCK CLUB, together with SLAPSTORM and NO KODE, an unforgettable show !!! Other concerts around Italy will follow soon. After a whole summer spent playing around and working to create new songs, the band has a new change of line up: IVOL, the drummer, decides to leave the crew. It takes only a couple of weeks to find out a new drummer, due to the good fame that the band earned in this years. Paolo, ex-drummer of the band PGC, takes the place of BIG IVOL. After only 3 weeks, the MACHINE is running again. Paolo reveals to be really good, and his will of being part of the crew makes him a hard worker, with his good experience an really high technical capacity he becomes officially the new drummer. The first show of the MACHINE with Paolo playing drums has been the 23rd of December , supporters QUBOFUXIA and NEWBORN. In that show the MACHINE plays supported by a big video show specially made for the band by THE COGHWEELZ, and with that show begins the collaboration between OVERUNIT MACHINE and PIGGY DELIRIUM , that with his sick and wicked electroassault he fills the show and becomes officially the 6th element of the OVERUNIT MACHINE…welcome Mr PIGGY DELIRIUM !!! +++ In the meantime the MACHINE is working hard on new songs for the new upcoming album, now the next important step is to find the support of a good label to promote the band and his music all over Europe, so, in this purpose we are glad to announce our collaboration with the big family of ALKEMIST-FANATIX-EUROPE, thanks to CARLO BELLOTTI, the boss, that after an interview with the band and after listening to Nursery Rhymes, decided to give us this big chance. In the end of 2007 the crew reached the GOAL, with the precious help of CARLO BELLOTTI and ALKEMIST FANATIX EUROPE, the band signed a contract for the new forthcoming album with the indie label KILLERPOOLRECORDS (www.killerpoolrecords.com ) !!!!!! We are proud to announce our collaboration with this professional label.. Officially the band will begin the studio session the 11th of february 2008, with the professional help of VITTORIO D'AMORE (DOPESTARS INC.) and DAVIDE CANTONE of SUBSOUND RECORDS, boss of the KILLERPOOL team. The new album will be recorded in the SUBSOUND STUDIOS in ROME, and will probably be ready in april/may 2008. STAY TUNED…
