About Onde Sphérique
ONDE SPHÉRIQUE, founded in fall 2008, tries to set their love for art and science to music. This happens in a very unique way, somewhere between experimental noise, sludgy postmetal, dreamful shoegaze and dark jazz. The band has started as a side project from musicians of PSYRIM, SHAFOTT and FRAMES OF MIND under the vision of Fàbiàn ∏itter ∑teinmetz. The name ONDE SPHÉRIQUE is French for spherical wave which is related to their love of science and of course their first EP "From Our Glaring Gold…“, which has got a theme album-like character. It is an emotional abstract of the development of culture and art, especially the development of musical sound waves by the influence of the sun, which itself emits its rays via spherical waves. From spherical waves to spherical waves - in between only million years of evolution… (cf. Myspace Blog: "From Our Glaring Gold…“ Lyrics and Images). After sharing the stage with great bands like CANTUS LEVITAS, FRAMES OF MIND, DAWN OF FEAR and FAREWELL, DEAD MAN, they have recorded a further EP, trying to combine their love for science and art again. The release is called "GIFT“, which has got an additional German meaning, namely poison. It is a musical, mostly instrumental description of the development of alchemy, especially toxicology towards applications in our modern society (cf. Myspace Blog: "GIFT“ Lyrics and Images). In the end of 2010 ∆àniel Màthøw (Ex-STROKE OF FATE) has joined the band as master of drums and percussions. A free downloadable Split with ROSTNAGEL followed in autumn 2011 (cf. Myspace Blog: Split with Rostnagel – FREE DOWNLOAD), and the one-track album "Curriculum Vitae" followed in spring 2012.
