Oh Messy Life, (Adam R Lees of Staying At Home / Lungs) began shortly before Staying At Home split-up in late 2005. A collection of early demo recordings produced in 2005 was released by Hobbledehoy in April 2006 entitled '1+1-1=1'. In amongst a few shows, a second record 'the literature ep' was written, recorded, and the made released in November 2006 again by Hobbledehoy. Oh Messy Life has a quirky indie-pop sound, in the vein of Love of Everything, Owen, The Weakerthans and Elliott Smith.
