Off Broadway USA was a rocking power pop band. In the late 70's and early 80's they were the Chicago pop scene's Rolling Stones to Cheap Trick's Beatles. Lead singer and major songwriter Cliff Johnson left Pezband to start up an outfit to explore the darker side of pop (American 60's 45's) music. He had just been in Chicago rock club hero's d'Thumbs (Chicago's Mott the Hoople featuring Tommy Aldridge on drums). He signed up debuonair bassist Jeff Pazdan and drummer Ken Harck. They grabbed gutarist Rob Harding from local rockers Horace Monster and added showoff fretman John Ivan on lead guitar. They still play, and retain their precision and whimsy.
