About Of Blessings And Burdens
Of Blessings And Burdens is a five-piece post hardcore band based out of Amherst, Massachusetts, USA. The band started in 2003, and over the years went through many line-ups. During that time they have shared the stage with such bands as Unearth, Shadows Fall, and Nora accomplishing it all on their own. Eventually they parted ways in 2006. They were scheduled to regroup in 2007 for a farewell concert, but this never went through. OBAB were known for their energetic live shows, and originally for their willingness to mix more accessible, melodic music with elements such as breakdowns, screaming, and odd time signatures. They had amassed a following in New England and toured the eastern half of the United States right before breaking up. They released two albums and various demos. In 2010, a remake of their second album was completed as the quality of the original release wasn't satisfactory to the members of the band at that time. Members of OBAB have gone on to be in bands such as The Acacia Strain, Arrows Over Athens, and other projects that have since disbanded.
