About Nocore
There are a couple of projects going by the name noCore, depending on where you live. 1) noCore is the one of the performing names of Michael Schmidt, an electronic music producer and livePA artist. He is known for creating improvisational rhythmic noise music with a wide range of influences ranging from bare minimal ambient music to extreme splatter breached digital grindcore. noCore's musical production history dates back to 1997, when he became interested in sampling random sounds, sequencing patterns on a drum machine, and recording the results on a 4-track audio cassette tape recorder. In 2000, noCore founded his own label, known as r.i.p.theSystem, to publish his debut release "Nothing Exceeds Like Excess" (2000) along with the "r.i.p.theSystem compilation v0.1". In 2003, two of his (ZYMOTIC) tracks appeared on the 3xCD "Don't Fuck With Us" compilation released by Digital Hardcore Recordings along with EXISTS's "hooyee". In May 2007, he appeared on D-Trash Records' Atari Teenage Riot tribute release with a cover of the ATR track "U.S. Fadeout" and "Into the Death". 2) No-Core is a podcast created by someone known as M.P Lockwood (aka Radio Shock) from the town of Brooklyn, NY. He is a big fan of experimental and underground muzik. This podcast is for sharing some of the amazing stuff he's heard or knows about. Genres showcased include noise, no wave, metal, junk/trash, bent/glitched, Nintendo sounds, and rockenroll. http://www.no-core.net/podcast/
