In 1990, Pizza Hut sponsored a musical tour dubbed the "Comin' Out of Their Shells Tour" which featured live musical performances by musicians dressed in turtle costumes designed to mimic the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' characters. The studio album "Coming Out of Their Shells," coincided with the tour and was available only in audio cassette form at Pizza Hut restaurant locations throughout the United States.
