About Nine Steps To Ugly

Nine Steps To Ugly was a British twee pop formed in January 1987 for Windsor College Rag Stomp held at the Old Trout Windsor on 24th March 1987. The band released one single, "Eddie Lopez Lives in Slough / Bobby Charlton's Haircut", in 1987, and contributed one song ("Vaudeville") for the compilation "Corrupt Postman". Cameron Smillie later went on to form The Morbific Seeds with Bevis Bevis, who had played with Nine Steps to Ugly as a drummer. Tracey sang in several bands including Montefury, The Wallflowers (not to be confused with the American band of the same name) and Foam. Members: Tracey Owen (vocals) Jim Turner (guitar) Cameron Smillie (guitar) Nick Elson (bass) Dave Best (drums)
