Nik Carlson (born November 8, 1978 in Masterton, New Zealand) is a singer who rose to popularity after placing second in NZ Idol 2, the New Zealand version of Pop Idol.Before appearing on NZ Idol he has had a few achievements which are = Showstoppers" TV show. Wairarapa Country Music Club awards winner when he was 18. Best of the West Awards (with Country Class) -1995 Senior Overall Winner and Intermediate Overall Winner. Best of the West Awards (with Country Class) - 1996 Intermediate Overall Runner Up and Guest Artist Started country and western singing when he was 4 years old with Country Corral in Masterton and later joined the Wairarapa try Music Club awards when he was 18. He is currently studying to become a radio DJ On March 2006.
