About Night Ranger
Night Ranger is an American hard rock band formed in San Francisco, California, in 1982. The group achieved significant popularity during the 1980s with a series of successful albums and hit singles. Guitarist Brad Gillis and drummer Kelly Keagy have remained the only constant members throughout the band’s career, while bassist Jack Blades has appeared on all but one of their albums. The current lineup also includes guitarist Keri Kelli and keyboardist Eric Levy. The band’s first five albums collectively sold over 10 million copies worldwide, contributing to total sales of approximately 17 million albums. Night Ranger are best known for the power ballad "Sister Christian," which reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100 in June 1984. Other notable hits from the 1980s include "Don’t Tell Me You Love Me," "When You Close Your Eyes," "Sentimental Street," "Four in the Morning (I Can’t Take Any More)," and "Goodbye." After experiencing a decline in popularity toward the late 1980s, the band disbanded in 1989, and the members pursued separate projects. In 1995, Gillis and Keagy collaborated with bassist Gary Moon to release an album under the Night Ranger name without the other original members. The band reunited in 1996 with Blades, guitarist Jeff Watson, and keyboardist Alan Fitzgerald, releasing two additional albums later that decade. Despite further lineup changes over the years, Night Ranger have continued to record and tour.
