He takes his inspiration from the Black roots of Rock’n’Roll, as well as the popular Afro-American music of the 50’s, including the early Rhythm & Blues and, swing . Nico’s music has just one goal, to get people dancin’ and to shake them up in every sens of the term ! Oscar McLollie, Smiley Lewis, Joe & Jimmy Liggins, Red Prysock & Tiny Grimes, Ike Turner, Little Richard, Larry Williams, Doc Starkes & the Night Riders are some of the heroes of Nico. Nico is backing up for some of the greatest artists from U.S.A for several years, such as Lynwood Slim, Junior Watson, Roddy Jackson, R.J Misho, Mitch Woods, Wanda Jackson , Big jay McNeely, Gizzelle , Alex Vargas … appearing with Big Sandy, Duke Robillard, Ruby Ann, Ray Collins, Carl & the rhythm all-stars, and so on. Also playing guitar with Lawen stark & the slide boppers, Tee Bo & the Blues Rockers. Having extensive tours of Europe to the roads of festivals and clubs in Belgium, Netherland, Luxembourg, Germany, England , Scotland, Spain, Italy , Poland … Australia (in oct.2013 !!!) Been used by the famous Parisian club and temple of Swing “le Caveau de la Huchette “, it is in 2009 that he decides on to recording in a small room and live conditions, without overdubs …) the CD “Meet me in the basement”.Also in June 2011 with the Album “Goin’ back to ya” , which will testify with no doubt, of his passionate style, his liveliness, amazing Style and Swing, enthusiasm and expertise.
