About Nevaneva

NEVANEVA are a 5-piece rock/pop band, formed by lead singer, Marco Moretti, in the early months of 2011. Although the band have only been together for just over a year now, the members of the band are all very seasoned musicians, with plenty of industry experience behind their belts. The members of Nevaneva are trained music graduates, with plenty of touring and studio experience. They have worked with the likes of well-known engineers and musicians in the industry, and having performed at some highly-acclaimed venues around the world. They are not only skilled performers, but also highly skilled musicians, and recording artists - as this is obvious in the music they write. . The band was born in 2011, when Marco Moretti, lead singer for Nevaneva, set out to recruit 4 members for the Nevaneva project, and who he could work with to produce an album featuring songs he had written over years prior, some of which were only ideas that he intended to mature and evolve. The aim was to recruit musicians that not only had the knowledge and knowhow, but also the image, professional attitude, and musicianship. Marco put out adverts on the Internet, and called around, interviewing and audition some local talent in London, until he eventually stumbled upon music graduates, whom had been performing together in a band known as Dead Man's Crossing, or DMX for short (a progressive rock/metal band based in London). These guys had been friends for sometime, having original met at university. They had formed a bond together, and had grown accustomed to each others musical abilities to the point where they worked productivity when it came to writing new material. It was just a matter of getting gaining their interest in the Nevaneva project, and earn their commitment. After a few meet-ups with the guys from DMX (Andreas Neuner, Mitch Gasser, Sean Brennon, Jerry Sadowski), they agreed to work with Marco on the Nevaneva project to write an album. . Later in 2011, the Nevaneva project was well underway, and the music was starting to take form. The Nevaneva sound was beginning to form, and the band realized that their target market was very much Americanized rock. They decided to focus solely on developing this sound, but also expand their market as widely as possible. They decided to tone down their heavier songs to a more pop/rock vibe. They knew that if they were going to appeal to masses, heavy rock music would only be limited. . In the early months of 2012, after some excessive songwriting sessions and rehearsals, it was time to hit the recording studio to produce the album. The guys decided to approach the release of the album in a staged approach due to the need to build a buzz around Nevaneva. As Nevaneva was still at this stage the best kept secret in the industry, they didn't have much of a following. They realized that the best approach was to increase their audience over time, and the solution was to release their music in small doses, focusing on promoting each release independently, in the form of individual EP's. So after some brainstorming amongst the band, they decided to release their first EP, "Second Life", featuring the single, "Live And Die". Following that, would be their second EP, "Rising", featuring a new single, "Simple Life". Later down the road, they would then release their full-length album, including all previously released tracks, as well as some new material. This would hopefully allow time to build a following, and hype around the band. . Recently, Nevaneva have released their "Second Life" EP, which was made available on iTunes, and all popular online retailers. They have also recently finished recording their second EP, "Rising", which is currently being mixed at the time of writing this. The planned release date for "Rising" will be early December 2012.
