About NUU
NUU is a Japanese singer born in 1976 at Tokyo, Japan. She grew up listening to her fathers music, artists such as Stevie Wonder, Roberta Flack, Aretha Franklin as well as Earth, Wind and Fire. Between 1998 and 1999 while still in college, she released three singles. Graduating from university in March of 1999, she began her fulltime music career. Often traveling and collaborating with other groups, NUU music style is based in the traditional music of Japan, Okinawa, and other countries.
