About NHX
NHX is a band of 5 musicians from jazz, progressive rock and electronic music gathered on Gael Horellou’s initiative. They stem from this new generation of jazzmen which tries to confront the delights of improvisation on acoustics instruments to electronic sounds, with the ambition to reconcile jazz with dancefloors. Partly written, partly improvised, their music expresses itself through multiple forms, emanating a powerful and warm energy in an electro universe structured by machines with hip hop, breakbeat or jungle grooves. NHX is born on the occasion of the Jazz festival of the Crescent Jazz Club at Macon in July 2002. During their residence at the Cave a Musique, their first concert has been recorded fully on 24 tracks by Dominique Poutet in order to release a live album.
