Mouse Eat Mouse are a band made up from various parts of Scotland blending a unique fusion of folk/indie/classical music with an eloquent vocalist using spoken word in old Scots ( although easily accessible by all), backed with multi part harmonies sung by the core of the band's musicians. This band is like nothing you've ever heard before. The vocals are unique, insightful and powerful with, at times, dark and thought provoking subject matter. The forthcoming album although sticking to the original principles is more immediate, more eclectic than the award winning debut, the variety of song styles is quite something. Keep an eye and an ear or two out for the new recording. It's something special. You could argue that I may be biased but having been involved in the Scottish (mainly Glasgow) music scene for some time, this is a collective I have a good feeling about. Something special is happening here and I believe that a band like this only comes together once in a lifetime
