Monika, since she was 6 years old, stood out as a troubadour girl, then in her adolescence she became singer-songwriter for the rock band Puerto Raíces with her brother, the cuatro player Christian Nieves. They were signed by Sony Discos, and nominated for "Premios Lo Nuestro" and "Premios Tu Música" in 2004. Monika has collaborated with artists such as: Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Kany Garcia, Pedro Capó, Wilkins, Antonio Orozco, Francisco Céspedes and Glenn Monroig, among others, and worked with producers such as Eduardo Reyes and Alejandro Montalbán. The singer-songwriter, daughter of the Puerto Rican cuatrista and composer, Don Modesto Nieves, has progressively developed into several musical facets, also as professional güirera and percussionist, thus forming her own structure and style. His musical proposal has been described in Puerto Rico as "JibaRock" or in the commercial field as "Latin Pop-Rock". This fusion spreads you, captivates you and enters a world of everyday issues, with which we all identify. After a career full of achievements, his dream comes true, where feelings, emotions, experiences and stories that have marked his life and his career are reflected. His first production "Pasajeros Del Tren" was born. We invite you to walk through this musical route, from Naranjito, Puerto Rico, to the whole world.
