About Misty Roses
Misty Roses were formed in autumn 2002, and features Robert Conroy (vocals) and Jonny Perl (assembler/instrumentalist). Robert was once the singer of the NYC soundtrack combo Morricone Youth, while Jonny is a collector who runs musicaltaste.com and occasionally spins exotica and related music in NYC and London. Misty Roses is an attempt to live out — digitally — our mutual fixations with what we call “glamorous easy listening music,” such as Dusty Springfield, Burt Bacharach, Scott Walker, Serge Gainsbourg, Jimmy Webb, Piero Piccioni, Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra, Percy Faith, Ennio Morricone, Astrud Gilberto, and Piero Umiliani.
