About Mista Mushroom
Mista Mushroom are a ten piece death-reggae/doom-calypso/ska-core band from Shorwell, Isle of Wight just off the south coast of England, known for their energetic live performances. The band were formed in 2004 from various members of Embassy Row, Screaming Phoenix, DuRT, Ones And Zeros, E-Tabs and Kill Your Heroes. With such varied tastes in music among the band members, the result is a very original sound hard to pigeon hole. Mista Mushroom have released 2 records; the first a short EP entitled 'You Do The Math' and their debut album 'Class A's On A School Night' which was packaged in a hand crafted CD case complete with poster. Mista Mushroom have toured the United Kingdom and have played the Bestival (www.bestival.net) on the Isle of Wight three times (2004, 2006 & 2007), they were the first band to open the main stage of this festival in 2004.
