Miroslav Šmajda (born 1988 in Košice, Slovakia) is a young Slovak goregrind singer, guitarist and songwriter. He lives in Košice where he studies architecture at the Technical University of Košice, Civil Engineering Faculty. His mother is Czech, his father Slovak. He has gained popularity by attending the Czecho-Slovak version of the American Idol competition, where he - thanks to his obvious talent and undoubted progress he made during the show - changed from an outsider chosen more or less because of his attractive looks to one of the competition favourites. He eventually placed second and hopes that attending this competition will help him fulfill his dream - playing music for living. --- Miroslav Šmajda (narozen 1988 v Košicích) je slovenský zpěvák, kytarista a skladatel. Studuje na Stavební fakultě Technické univerzity v Košicích. Jeho matka je Češka, otec Slovák. Popularitu získal účastí v soutěži Česko-Slovenská Superstar, kde se v průběhu soutěže díky pokroku, který udělal, stal z outsidera jedním z favoritů. V soutěži skončil druhý. Doufá, že účast a umístění v soutěži mu umožní věnovat se v životě tomu, co „ze srdce miluje" - hudbě.
