MergingMoon is a melodic death metal/metalcore band formed in May 2010 from Tokyo, Japan. The band consist of vocalist U (who is also vocalist in Devil Within), guitarist Yuto and bassist and backing vocalist Tatsuya Nogami. In December 2010, their song was included in "HELLGATE3" by PARANOID RECORDS, marking their first nationally distributed track. In the beginning of 2011, they released their first demo simply titled "1st demo". It was followed by their debut single "Blackout before Shadow" quickly followed by their debut album "Inauguration Of The Black Sun", released in May 2011. Their first self-organized event drew over 150 attendees. Their second single "Greyen" was released on May 5, 2012. In July 2012, their song was included in "BRAT PACK 2012" by TRIPLE VISION entertainment. Their second album "Kamikakushi ~神隠し" was released on May 1, 2013. Their activities garnered attention, leading to an appearance on the Emmy Award-winning CNN TV show "Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown." In August 2015, they released "怨-eN." A track from the album was used in the American indie horror film "Good Family Times." In September, they performed at the Taiwanese rock festival "ROCK IN TAICHUNG," which was broadcast on Taiwanese television. In January 2018, they collaborated with Dirk Verbeuren, former drummer of Soilwork and current drummer of MEGADETH, to create "Gravity Of Spadille," which was digitally released. In 2021, guitarist Yuto returned after a three-year hiatus, and live drummer Yusaku participated in the production. They announced the digital release of their new work "Activate The Hell" on Halloween.
