About Melo-M

Melo-M is a Latvian instrumental cello rock trio from Rīga, Latvia, emerged in in 2005. The name is derived from the word melomania. The source material Melo-M chooses to interpret tends to be quite varied – pop, rock, folk and world, classical and contemporary. They have released five albums. They have collaborated with many world-famous artists, have played and gained recognition in many countries. In 2010, competing against 73 other collectives, Melo-M were awarded bronze at Terem Crossover Competition. Melo-M performances are distinguished by their ability to combine the classical music foundations, the energy and drive of pop and rock shows and an approach that is distinctly their own.
