About Melnais Caurums

Initially a one-off collaboration between the members of Ointment and a first-time vocalist named Markuss. The production was inspired by white-boy fandom of the true school rap of the Native Tongues collective as well as the initial versions of Bristolian trip hop. Produced in one day, with vocals recorded on another, "Indukcija" (2003) nevertheless remained shelved until a physical release appeared in 2006. In 2012 a follow-up single was quietly released, produced by Rudzītis with new guest vocalist Melderis.
