About Mellowgore
Mellowgore consists of two members of Turkish prog rock band Düşey: Kayahan Balta and Laçin Şahin. The idea of Mellowgore is created by Kayahan, when one day he found himself singing a "gay" version of the song Eaten by Bloodbath. He recorded the song and sent it to few friends, including Anders Nyström of Bloodbath&Katatonia. The song received good feedbacks (mostly mockeries) and Anders asked him to put the song on Youtube, however Kayahan could never find time to do so. In 2010, Kayahan asked Laçin to join him to realize the idea of using "evil" and metal lyrics to make mellow songs. Laçin's participation allowed Kayahan to write more complex compositons and include solos. As to date, Mellowgore recorded 2 songs, "Eaten" by Bloodbath and "Dead Skin Mask" by Slayer, and have more songs to record once they find time.
