About Matt Kollock
“THE ROAD THAT TAKES US HOME” NOW STREAMING Indie art-pop artist Matt Kollock wants you to let it go, take a beat, connect with your inner child – then move your body. Or at least bob your head. Kollock grew up with the shiny sounds of FM radio in the 80s. He came of age in the groovy, grungy 90s, getting into guitar and developing his musical worldview. At some point, Kollock discovered an affinity for the funky, the blue. And classic rock was always around, providing a grounding presence. All the elements were present early on, and if things had turned out differently, you might have heard about Matt Kollock 20 years ago. Time and fate had other plans. That is, until 2018, when a psychedelic journey convinced Kollock to give music one more shot. Already in his 40s, it seemed wild, but he wasn’t about to pick a fight with God. Kollock wrote songs, hit the open mics and started gigging again. Then the pandemic struck. That’s when he decided to make an album, his first – 'microorganism,' released in 2021. In 2023 Kollock followed his debut with the release of a mellow, lo-fi four-song EP called 'DO YOU FEEL IT TOO?' The alt-hardcore epic 'Family Plot' was unleashed in 2024. Kollock released his emotionally intense cover of Ween’s “Tender Situation” in March, 2025, followed by “We Can Levitate,” a driving, uptempo electro rocker, in April. Writing, creating, expressing, dancing, chilling – Matt Kollock is creating the world of his inner child’s dreams. Won’t you join him?
