A collective of politically seditious techno clowns based...errr... all over the shop (us, brazil, uk, holland, switzerland, brazil) MASH UP SOUNDSYSTEM are everything from 'hardcore idm' to 'ambient gabber', and all other oxymoronic commodities in-between. Making electronic music that goes across the board, like the 'KLäNG KLäNG' parties they throw, they refuse to stick to just one 'style' of music. Whatever the breaks and beats, it's all techno! MASH UP SOUNDSYSTEM are: the Dog AKA The Maggot Farmer and Jism and in a former life as Blue(6), producing with Alien Race, and the life before that best neglected (and the one before that dead and buried!) Snotty little punk. Discovered electronics through the destruction of his dad's 2 track, aged 5... learnt to fix things very soon after! Likes wires...Played experimental live sets in the side rooms at parties like VFM and at Traffik's disturbance nights in the early mid-nineties before moving to Holland and later to the States. Concrete Cookie [made in Poland] started out as a classically trained pianist and lately has been found doing architecture and grabbing too many crows by the tails ... now uses some of her skills with the mash in a discombobulated techno stylee!
