About Masaki Batoh
Masaki Batoh (馬頭將噐), who performs solely under his romaji name, is a singer-songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist and instrument maker from Japan. His music includes different genres: folk, world, celtic, medieval, new age, classical, experimental, noise and ambient. Just like his songs, Masaki is bilingual (Japanese-English) and is also the founding member, singer and guitarist of the psychedelic group Ghost. He does both improvised music and compositions. In 2012, he created a machine that converts brainwaves into music notes. It was used on the album Brain Pulse Music. This album, which also contains traditional Japanese folk music, was dedicated to the victims of the earthquake of 3/11 and the nuclear disaster of Fukushima.
