Mark Maitland is one of the most proactive hard house/techno DJ’s in the North East of England. With initial breakthrough bookings in and around Newcastle, he quickly expanded onto a national platform. With residencies at Promise, Come Together and backing from hard house label Energy UK. Mark Maitland has all off a sudden become notable face on the Hard Dance circuit. With dates that have included “Godkitchen’s” mighty Arena tour in 2004, “Vicious Circle” and “Frantic” rooms @ Come Together Events, “GoodGreef” @ Tall Trees, and Newcastle infamous “Quality”. His residency at “Promise” give Mark the freedom to not just play hard dance but to expand in to the world of techno. Which have seen him receive bookings for 2005 to follow two of the worlds greatest DJ’s. Paul Van Dyke & Tiesto. Mark’s talents don’t just lye in DJing. This hot new producer is quickly springing to fame with a string production, with tracks such as “Get Up” on Recharge, which also features on the new Tidy Euphoria Compilation. His highly rated remix of Casper – Trippin for Energy UK, and collaboration with Defective Audio, called Behaviour Control on the Legendary Spinball Label. He produces tracks that get continuous plays from the cream of the UK’s Hard Dance scene. Such as Lisa Lashes, Paul Glazby, Justin Bourne, Charlotte Birch, Anne Savage, Nick Sentience to name but a few. Along side his DJing and Producing, Mark has taken his position as manager of EUKRecords.com. One of the UK’s leading online record stores. Plus a role as and A&R man for Energy UK, Mark has his finger firmly on the pulse when it comes to sourcing new and exciting material. Not content with the running of Energy UK, Mark also has his own very success Label “Stealth UK” championed by the likes of Simon Eve and featuring his own take on the techno hard dance cross over. Tracks have also included artists such as Ali Wilson, Alex Calver, Sam Townend, and has seen the birth of Mark’s new alias “The Audio Punk” Keep your eyes pealed. If you didn’t think that was enough, Mark also plays Funky Electro as one half of “Untamed Society” with the Iain Shepherd ( Hed Kandi, Miss Money Penny’s).
