John Mark Goodwin Austin, Texas-based jazz and blues keyboardist / pianist and vocalist, born October 8, 1961, in Kansas City Mo, and died February 26, 2018, in Austin, Texas. He began his career as singer and while in college, sang for two years with the Houston Grand Opera Chorus. He began playing with blues bands in 1988, working with the band Blue Bloods and joined Bobby Mack & Night Train in 1990. More recently, his jazz group Mark Goodwin Trio (MG3) was a house band at Antone's in Austin.
