About Marando
Marando is an instrumental rock guitarist from the United States who was inspired to play the guitar after hearing the work of Jimi Hendrix, and Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin. Marando also cites The Beatles, Joe Satriani, Radiohead, and Pink Floyd as major musical influences. After discovering the music of Joe Satriani, Marando was inspired to produce an instrumental rock album. The discovery of Satriani's instrumental music demonstrated an approach to create effective songs without the need for vocals. From this point forward the electric guitar had replaced the human voice on Marando's records. In 2008, Marando began recording eight songs for the album "Synesthesia". So far, two of these songs, Gypsy and Crystallomancy, have been released as a single in 2009. On on July 21, 2009, Garageband.com featured Crystallomancy as track of the day.
