Michael F. Winter, aka MAO II (b. 1977, Detroit, MI), is a sound designer, visual artist, recording engineer, and multi-instrumentalist living in New Orleans. He released his first full-length album in 2006, on the Magnanimous Records label. Michael's imaginative, ever-expanding sonic concepts engage the listener with a sense of color and geographic proportion. One part composition and two parts pure feeling, his music is a definitive element of a place and time that can only be explained with sound.
