About Make Yourself Comfortable
The band Make Yourself Comfortable is really the creative force of Andrew Cotney. Cotney was born in Abilene, TX. He resided in Lubbock, TX, where he wrote music, played shows, and attended graduate school at Texas Tech University. MYC, a solo side project of Andrew's, finally began to gain recognition when Andrew began playing acoustic shows with bandmate, Troy Luedeker. Make Yourself Comfortable came together in full force in August of 2008 with the addition of drummer, Landon Cotham. Cotney also has another outlet for his creativity in the form of the band The Lesbian Breakfast. In early 2008 Cotney decided to record the material he had been collecting for Make Yourself Comfortable. The result was a collection of tracks entitled My Digital Spring Break. The 13 song album was well received by fans and very popular in the local music scene. Cotney recently dropped out of his MBA program with a 4.0 and a couple months left before graduation. He moved down to Austin, Texas and is currently writing new music.
