About MANYO

MANYO(まにょっ)is a jazz and visual-novel soundtrack composer. His real name is Tomomi Teratani. His style is a blend of modal jazz, j-pop, IDM and classical music. His best-known works were composed for Innocent Grey studio games, including Flowers and Kara no Shoujo. He is one of the most prolific video game composers and songwriters, featuring on dozens of games and albums each year. However, his international recognition has been limited because the majority of his output has been for Japan-only visual novel titles. This has all changed in recent years, as he has engaged in numerous new projects that have gained the attention of Western audiences. He stated he was very much influenced by the sound of artists like T-SQUARE, CASIOPEA, and Pat Metheny. He is also an arranger for j-pop singles and has long collaborated with singer Haruka Shimotsuki.
