Make Them Suffer is an Australian deathcore / metalcore band from Perth, Western Australia, recognized for blending symphonic, melodic, and extreme elements. They are signed to Rise Records and SharpTone Records. Current lineup: Sean Harmanis – unclean vocals (2008–present; also contributes clean vocals) Nick McLernon – guitar, backing vocals (2008–present) Jaya Jeffery – bass (2017–present) Jordan Mather – drums (2018–present) Alex Reade – clean vocals, keyboards (2022–present) Former members include: Booka Nile – clean vocals, keyboards (2017–2022) Chris Arias-Real – bass (2008–2017) Lachlan Monty – rhythm guitar (2013–2016) Louisa Burton – keyboards, clean/backing vocals (2011–2017) They released their debut EP Lord of Woe in 2010. Their first full-length, Neverbloom (2012), peaked at No. 56 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Their sophomore LP, Old Souls (2015), landed at No. 30 and was reissued in 2016 with bonus content. In 2017 they released Worlds Apart, followed by How to Survive a Funeral (2020). Their self-titled album, Make Them Suffer, arrived in November 2024, marking the first full-length record featuring Alex Reade. That album reached No. 38 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Make Them Suffer are noted for their emotional intensity, technical musicianship, and ability to blend brutal heaviness with orchestral, atmospheric, and melodic elements — always pushing the boundary of extreme metal.
