About Mémoires d'automne
Mémoires d'automne is a French darkwave band which was active during the 1990s. They released the EP "Gloria Victis" in 1993, a cassette promo in 1995, and their only full-length "Cliché" in 1996. In addition, various tracks appeared on tape and CD compilations released by European underground labels. Mémoires d'automne can be classified as a coldwave band. Their sound is not as 'cold' as that of other French bands (Norma Loy, early Clair Obscur); rather, they seemed to be heavily influenced by the (early) The Cure and And Also The Trees, without merely copying these bands.
