About Lobão E Os Ronaldos
Lobão e Os Ronaldos was a Brazilian band from the 1980s. It was part of the new wave of Brazilian pop rock bands that emerged in the 80s, influenced by genres such as new wave, punk, glam rock and pop that surfaced in the late 70s. The band became known by the hits "Me Chama" (Call Me) and "Corações Psicodélicos" (Psychedelic Hearts). The members were Lobão (former Blitz), Alice Pink Pank (former Gang 90), Guto Barros, Odeid Pomeranblum and Baster Barros. History: The band was formed in 1984 and included Lobão - who formerly played with the band Blitz and became one of the most influential musicians in Brazil, Dutch singer Alice Pink Pank (Alice Gwendolin Wermelen), from the band Gang 90 who lived in Brazil during the 80s. Lobão e Os Ronaldos released a single album called "Ronaldo Foi pra Guerra" ("Ronaldo was called to war", drafted), which became a Brazilian new wave classic and spawned the mega-hit "Me Chama". The band broke up shortly after, and Lobão launched his solo career, releasing the compact "Decadence Avec Elegance".
