About Loather
DISCLAIMER: there are currently 2 artists on this page that go by the name loather, and no this wiki is not for the band. no clue if it will be fixed in the future, we’ll see. loather is an artist from florida who reached for the skies this year, gaining some traction whilst experimenting with new sounds. finding fans via tiktok videos and experimental visualizers, loather makes a mark on your eyes and ears. originally starting to make music in 2020, the younger musician had struggles finding his sound. experimenting with mixing/mashups, sigilkore, hyperpop, digicore, and his early guitar music. fun fact: loather was in a collective in around 2020 called #valentine, along with the now acclaimed Xoly where he posted in his words “shitty fucking sigilkore with a shitty mic” his first track ever has been lost to time, and many of his alt accounts float around to this day. one of the first known songs ever posted was on 2022 to the loather page and were mixes inspired by wifiskeleton, xoly, and many more. tracks of these consisted of things from destroylonely to hardcore edm. the oldest archived song even known of is “attack” produced by living luxury, featuring kakashi from naruto in itachis genjutsu, hanging on a cross while itachi clones stand around him ready to stab him with swords. after a month of not posting mixes, he eventually took down all of his music and restarted. this was when he posted a track titled “another problem” produced by unknown. this song gained minor traction, and didnt seem to be his sound. quickly after, that song was taken down and a 2 year hiatus started. in 2024 loather released an EP titled “grave” produced by various people. this ep is still available on his soundcloud to this day, and did not preform too well either. at the time of writing this no song has broke 1000 plays. afterwards, loather posted more and more guitar music and indie like songs, shifting towards the imagery he uses today. singing up and beginning to climb on spotify, he continued to post and started making visualizers. this is when the place i always haunted blew up for such a small artist. this song was originally not available on spotify, but he decided to post some of his soundcloud music on spotify in a compilation titled loathers greatest hits, featuring some great songs. more and more singles were posted, before loathers officially released his debut album (which he told me was basically a 7 song ep) featuring a clearer and newer sound that preformed very well for what audience he has. now he continues to create visualizers on tiktok while not having any news on more music, but hopefully this wiki will have be edited in the future because of this.
