About Lizard Smile
1995-2000 A band originates when Beatnick joins Strobocop and Albi Voombastic after a gig by the latter, autumn 1995. The following years see them gig the Belgian scene. 2000-2005 A first album "Press my Button" is released. Distributed worldwide through Ressurection Records London, it manages to capture the attention of a wider audience. Shows in Belgium and abroad see them share bills with the likes of Diva Destruction, Deine Lakaien, The Neon Judgement, The House of Usher, Scary Bitches,... culminating in slots as support for Red Lorry Yellow Lorry and The Mission. Lizard Smile contributed to numerous compilations (Gothic Magazine compilation XIII, The Violent Hour - tribute to Sisters of Mercy, Black Box - some kind of Goth, Dark Entries compilation 1 and 5) with their cover of "Burn" for the "Our Voices - tribute to the Cure"-compilation receiving noteable good press.
