About Liz Kay

Liz Kay (1981) was born in the Netherlands in a city called Delft. Liz loves performing and entertaining people and always has. At the age of sixteen she started her singing career by joining talentscouts. Her selfconfidence grew as she accomplished some positive results, like entering the final round from talentshows and winning some of them! This inspired her to continue singing and to take her chances in the music business. When Liz was 19 years old she started taking singing lessons. After 3,5 years she quit the lessons, because she was part of a popact for which she was coached specifically. Thanks to various performances Liz got to know important people who meant a lot for her career. Meanwhile Liz graduated from college, where she studied ‘cultural & social work’ and found a flexible job that leaves enough time for her singing. Throughout the years Liz Kay was asked for several studiojobs. She worked with different producers and she also made quite a few commercials and jingles which were meant for Dutch radio and television. In the last few years Liz also joined lots of projects. In 2003 she acted as a singer in a theatre play where she was introduced to soulclassics. This lead her to a coverband where she was the leadsinger for about one year. In 2005 there was a big talentshow in Delft where Liz Kay was part of a hiphopshow. Liz also performs with a popular pop/rock coverband in her hometown Delft and she performs LIVE in a club with a DJ (dancemusic). With this knowledge you could say that Liz Kay is an allround singer with a lot of experience in various styles. Althought she likes popmusic best, Liz is an artist who likes to mix up some styles. Liz: “As long as my music moves people positively in one way or another, I am happy!” Until now Liz Kay didn’t have her own music, but in 2005 she met producer Yanou and DJ Manian from Germany. After one year no less than 10 singles from them are ready to be released into the dancescene. There is a lot to be expected…
