About Little Green Wheels
Band Members Ian Strachan: Lead Vocals, Backing Vocals. Adrian Higgins: Guitars, Backing Vocals. Matt Willis: Guitars, Bass, Lead and Backing Vocals. Chris Goldhawk: Bass, Keyboards. Keith Bishop: Drums, Guitars, Backing Vocals. Band started by Adrian Higgins and Chris Goldhawk in 1990. Various members came and went and with only one song to show for 10 years of work (the classic "Called In Sick"), things were looking bad for the Wheels. Then in 1999, Matt Willis (no, not the one from Busted and I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, but an older model) joined the group and the band started writing. However, it wasn't until 2005 when the group secured the services on Ian Strachan and Keith Bishop that 15 years of effort could be squeezed into a two day recording session at Uptide studios in Belgium. The result; four songs and the Oh No Not Again! EP. 18 months later, the band returned to Uptide for a week to record the Kelly's Eye EP. Both EPs were engineered by Theo De Witte more known for his work with MC Miker G, including his and DJ Sven's "Holiday Rap". Sadly, a few months later Keith left the band and following a spree of non-attendance, Chris was sacked. Since then the band has been hibernating awaiting to emerge renewed and refreshed. Higgins is known for his fondess of hats, he has around 17 of them. Willis uses super glue on the tips of his fingers when finger picking to compensate for having no nails. However, this has gone wrong on at least 6 occasions, 3 requiring attendance at hospital for surgical separation of guitar from hands. Adrian Higgins (Green Wheel) uses G&L Guitars; Fender Amps; Boss Pedals Matt Willis (Orange Wheel) uses Gibson and Steinberger Guitars; Mesa Boogie, Fender and Peavy Amps; Boss Pedals Chris Goldhawk (Purple Wheel) uses a Bass he bought in Australia and no fixed amplification. Ian Strachan (Black Wheel) doesn't own a mike, but likes AKG Tube and Shure Keith Bishop (Blue Wheel) had some very nice drums with superb skins, but he's left and the make has been lost to history
