About Little Bastard

Little Bastard are an Australian alt-country/bluegrass band from Sydney, New South Wales. The band is comprised of percussionist/guitarist/bassist Ross Tipper (formerly of The Retreat), brothers Matty (banjo, guitar) and Johnny Took (guitar, also of DMA's), violinist Ed Rowe, bassist/guitarist/harmonica player Daniel D'Arcy, guitarist/mandolin player Trevor Davies and percussionist Liam Hoskins. With the exception of Hoskins, all members of Little Bastard provide both lead and backing vocals, depending on the song. The band formed in 2012, and named themselves after the car that James Dean died in. A self-recorded and released self-titled EP was released in November 2012. The band's original line-up featured Matt Mason on banjo and guitar; before being replaced by Matty Took in late 2013. Their debut album, also self-titled, was released in June 2014.
