About Little Aida

The somnambulist singing, weepy slide guitars, and narcotic drums of this dream-pop act send us to our Roget's in search of more synonyms for "mellow." Like Hope Sandoval's Mazzy Star, Little Aida takes indie dirges to the brink of consciousness itself, and we're glad for the hypnosis. Biography Don’t miss out on Little Aida’s LP album, Mad Country, which was released on May 15. This is the group’s second album after their 1996 debut, Confessions. Mixed and mastered by Shimmy Disc/Second Shimmy label honcho Kramer, the lyrics in Mad Country are a retrospective of Tessa’s and Susannah’s travels, reflecting memoirs of the disturbed European fairytale, the vast Australian desert skies and the Californian dream.
