About Life Set Struggle

Life Set Struggle started out trying to capture the energy of early 80s hardcore bands like Negative Approach, early Agnostic Front, and Black Flag, while also paying tribute to bands like the Necros, the Faction, McRad, JFA, etc. Coincidentally the band didn't particularly sound like any of their influences, though Todd Swalla from the Necros did play drums for them at a show for a cover of "Police Brutality" and some Black Flag songs. Definite skate-rock vibe from kids who actually skateboarded. Contemporaries of Tear It Up, Scholastic Deth, Bones Brigade, Down In Flames, Violent Ramp, Tornado of Knives... The band released several records on varying independent record labels throughout their existence and was around from 2000-2005.
