About Les Enfants de la Patrie
LES ENFANTS DE LA PATRIE were formed in Nanterre, near Paris, France. Originally a Punk-Rock band, they formed in 1983 with Cedrik Michel (vocals), Francois Nicosia (guitar), Laurent Nicosia (bass) and Jeff (drums). They toured relentlessly in France and mainland Europe for two years, during which time they released one CD called ´´C´est du Rock´n Roll et J´aime Ca´´ on the punk label New Rose. Their biggest hit was ´´La Confiture Aux Cochons´´ which became an anthem against the then French President Francois Mitterand and his political croonies ! With this new CD 'L'ORIGINE DU ROCK', 25 years later, the music has matured like good wine, but the true spirit of telling it like it is has remained unchanged still !
