About Lentikula
Lentikula is the alias of German artist and producer Nils Wolters, who blends elements of ambient, breakbeats, techno and post-punk to create dreamlike soundscapes backed by driving beats. His musical journey began as a child in the 90s, experimenting with the music composer in Mario Paint on the Super Nintendo. Wolters' passion for music deepened in his early teens when he picked up his first electric bass guitar and formed a metal band with his older brother. As his musical interests evolved, he switched to electric guitar and joined a rock band with friends in his late teens. In 2018, Wolters shifted his focus to electronic music, the beginning of a new chapter in his artistic career. While his current sound differs from the music of his youth and his first steps into electronic music production, these early influences remain an integral part of Lentikula's sonic identity. “Tides” is Lentikula's first EP. It encapsulates the essence of his personal and musical evolution.
