About Leiche Rustikal
Leiche Rustikal is the oeuvre of Artur Zab, born 1967 in Wroclaw, Poland but now living in Munich, Germany. His work is creatively diverse, for example: from droning ritual dark ambient such as ‘Asle’ and the lamenting ‘I Forgot’ on the album Impuls, to the harsh industrial vox driven ‘Luzifer’ and pulsating rhythmic noise of ‘Galu’ on Rudra. One of the most intriguing tracks, ‘Ave Verum Corpus’ features a perfect mix of Gregorian chant overlayed with pounding industrial percussive rhythm, a portion of what sounds like German oration, following with a deep underlying dark ambient string section. It finishes with a cute nod to traditional Germanic militaristic music. What a brilliantly creative soup.
