About Left Hand Does

Left Hand Does plays unique, memorable and singularly catchy original music. The Boston-based quartet combines danceable grooves, strong melodies and introspective lyrics with elements of 80s pop, new wave and Nintendo soundtracks to create their distinctive, streamlined sound. Influences include the Police, the Beatles, INXS, Crowded House and Jean-Paul Sartre. Left Hand Does is fronted by brother and sister Luke and Jean Sullivan. Luke sings, plays guitar and produces all of the recordings. Jean sings and plays bass. Josh Kiggans plays drums, and Ryan Gildea plays keyboards and guitar. Left Hand Does has been performing shows since 2000, though Luke and Jean have been playing and writing songs together since childhood. They play regularly around Boston, Providence and New London.
