Kurt Farquhar is a Los-Angeles-based American television and film composer. A native of Chicago, he is a four-time BMI award winning including three in 2004 for The King of Queens. Farquhar is also the founder and CEO of True Music, a music licensing catalog operating out of Pasadena, California. Farquhar attended Berklee College of Music in Boston. He is best known for King of Queens, Moesha , The Proud Family, and South Central. Farquhar's writing credits include New Attitude, Rachel Gunn, R.N. and 96 Minutes. Farquhar is currently working on the ABC Family show Stitchers and Being Mary Jane
