About Kuragari
Kuragari is a Japanese solo bedroom shoegaze project started in 2021. He is distinguished by using loud and heavy walls of sounds, noticeably rougher than usual shoegaze, almost entirely covering vocals in the noise, which he really enjoys experimenting with: "Noise fills the body with memory the way hemoglobin carries oxygen through the body" - he said. Kuragari took a lot of inspiration from Korean artists such as Parannoul and especially 나의머리카락뭉치. He is also a big fan of mahjong, the elements of which are constantly scattered throughout all of his albums (niconico cover, 1.4.7.2.5.8 Is Waiting for 2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9.9.9 title and etc.). As of 2026, he dropped 3 albums and 2 EPs, while also occasionally releasing covers on his SoundCloud.
