About Kosyne
Kosyne is an MC / Producer / Host and wannabe DJ (at times) from Birmingham UK. Kosyne came up sharpening his skills on the open mic circuit with longtime rap partners SONNYJIM and REDBEARD and also hosting regular events from the one time hip-hop collective SOULTHUMP, through to a 2 season stint of Nu Century Art's LIVEBOX (alongside the legendary SOWETO KINCH) and also helped control many a packed zoo open mic at SPEAKERS CORNER (which became the outlet for EOW UK). Rap wise Kos made his production and vocal debut in 2005 on the SONNYJIM track "Barcodes", from the SOUL TRADER EP, and shortly after PERCY FILTH's debut "DONT TAKE IT PERCYNAL" both of which were recorded by producer/emcee LOTEK, after learning the ropes through Tek and bagging his gear at a discount price before he left for Austrialia, Kos & Sonny ran their own lab and recorded many of the features and tracks that appeared during the pre-EATGOOD era of 2006 to 2007 before moving to their own space which was eventually dubbed "LOUIS DEN" (after being in close proximity to where SJ's dog "LOUIS" lived). During the TRADING STANDARDS sessions Kos met KELAKOVSKI and the pair went on to form the LOUIS DEN BEAT BATTLES movement alongside fellow producers DARREN PAUL (now retired) and EYEBS of TLG which led to the creation of LOUIS DEN BEAT CYPHER which is the innovative hiphop production based club night showcasing producers from the Louis Den network and those from further afield. Music aside Kos is also co-creator (with filmaker/producer PROLIFIK aka AB0181) of the BEHIND CLOSED DOORS HIPHOP PRODUCTION MAGAZINE DVD which serves as producer food for beatsmiths worldwide.
